I am not ashamed of Benjamin getting his diagnosis. I am not bothered that I am trying to get a diagnosis for me.
It is part of who he is….not a behavioural thing, not bad parenting (I have seen far worse behaved children without ADHD) and it is not him being lazy.
Yes we and others need to make adjustments but at the end of the day he is still an awesome, kind, bright, funny, emotional and loving boy and I will advocate for him until he gets all the support he needs.
This Mama Bear does not give in.
